I will discuss Kondo effect as one of consequences of effective
dimensional reductions occurring in the low-energy dynamics of light
quarks in the dense QCD and in a strong magnetic field. The QCD Kondo
effect appears when heavy-quark impurities are embedded in such
environments. As a prospect, I will also discuss the heavy-quark
diffusion dynamics in heavy-ion collisions under a strong magnetic
field, which could be affected by the QCD Kondo effect.
