Study of baryon directed flow within
a hadronic transport model
Yasushi Nara (Akita International
University, Yuwa and FIAS)
We
study the beam energy dependence of the directed flow $v_1$ within the
hadronic transport model JAM which includes nuclear mean-field,
formation of nuclear clusters and its statistical decay. This hadronic
approach predicts a positive slope of the proton $v_1$ at 11 and 19.6
GeV which is inconsistent with the STAR data. It is also found that the
$\Lambda$ flow by JAM is inconsistent with the data. In order to
understand the implications of the data, we include the effects of the
softening of the EoS by changing the scattering style. We will discuss
possible mechanisms how directed flows are dynamically generated.
